Virosis

A general term for a viral infection in animals, e.g., dogs (e.g., parvovirus), cats (e.g., cat flu caused by calicivirus), and horses (e.g., influenza). Virosis describes the disease caused by viral pathogens, which often cause acute symptoms such as fever, weight loss, and lethargy.
