Conjunctivitis

is an inflammation of the mucous membrane in the eye that can be caused by infections, allergies, or irritants. Symptoms include redness, watering, itching, and sometimes purulent discharge. If conjunctivitis is suspected, a veterinarian should be consulted to determine the cause and initiate treatment.
